New GPS device for the blind

The lives of people with disabilities are much more complicated than the average. A simple thing like turning around on the street can be very complicated. Spruce hundreds of years, blind people have used sticks to feel which way to go and prevent the fall and run into obstacles. Now the Israeli Noam Klofsten design student has found a clever solution for the new old problem. He studied at Hadassah Michlelet renewal in the field of industrial design, and was askedto come up with a gadget that was added in competition inovision 2010 and the theme of this year's design competition, health and disability. Noam VIA new gadget, called low vision assistant and uses the GPS system and a sound system, is worn on the hand and has four cameras connected to it with motion detection and tells the person wearing the device to pick a direction and desired position!
